TYPES OF REACTIONS

This index lists the preparations contained in the nine Collective Volumes and Annual Volumes 75-80 in accordance with general types of reactions. Only those preparations which can be classified under the selected heading with some definiteness are included. The arrangement of types of preparations is alphabetical.

A valuable source of information concerning types of reactions described in Organic Syntheses is the Organic Syntheses Reaction Guide, edited by Dennis Liotta and Mark Volmer. In that volume, the procedures are classified under eleven main headings with numerous subdivisions according to the types of functional groups undergoing change. Each preparation is summarized, in structural format, with solvents, catalysts, and experimental conditions over the arrow. Citations to Collective Volumes I through VII and Annual Volumes 65 through 68 of Organic Syntheses are given.
